2006 Season - Week 12

Hall of Fame – The Owners Wing

As promised a few weeks ago, the Hall of Fame is being extended with a brand new Owners wing. Each year one owner (past or present) will be honoured by the current owners. All you have to do is email me the name of the owner you wish to place in the Hall of Fame, Owners Wing. Email me your vote by December 13th. Please note there is no room for narcissism in the BUMS - YOU MAY NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF. Nominations are listed alphabetically on the attached sheet with the 16 current owners joined by the 3 former owners Andrew Gulliford, Paul Privitera & Steve Talbot. Let the campaigning begin… Injured Reserve As expected the Eagles put Donovan McNabb on IR and Mark selected Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck to be his replacement. A fine decision as Hasselbeck scored 10 points on his debut for Mark on Monday Night Football. George also has the chance to replace Amani Toomer who is also on IR. When making an injury replacement you lose the salary of the player you are cutting & take on the replacements’ salary and you must stay within the $10m budget. Please keep an eye out for the health of your own guys, I will try and keep across the injuries but we only have a very small window between weeks now. We view the Monday Night game on Tuesday evenings and the next week starts with the NFL Network game on Thursday evenings. To get your replacement into your line-up for the next week they therefore must be with me by 11pm Thursday evenings. BUMS on Seats. The new NFL Network Thursday night games are being broadcast on Sky and so we have another date for BUMS on Seats. On Friday we will be at Johnny’s from 6:30pm to see Baltimore take on Cincinnati in an important AFC North clash. We are back at HQ on Sunday from 6pm for San Francisco @ New Orleans followed by the key NFC East top of the table match-up as the Cowboys travel to the Giants. The red key games are the bizarre choices of Atlanta @ Washington and Houston @ Oakland – go figure! We’ll be back at Johnny’s on Monday for Seattle at Denver and then H’s as usual on Tuesday for Carolina @ Philadelphia. That’s 5 full games per week, BUMS heaven.
